On August 1st 2008, AAII was notified by CSA of a serious incident involving an Airbus A310, registration mark OK-WAB, flying from New York to Prague. On July 31st 2008 shortly after take-off the engine No. 2 lost suddenly much of its power and so the crew decided to return back to the airport. In response to the notification an investigation into this serious incident was launched.
